On your power as a creative writer. In this exercise, I’ve switched places with this nemesis who in many ways wasn’t a real person to me. She’s been “the respondent,” “the stalker,” the one who “is out of touch with reality.” But now she is also “Amber” and while I might not have her factual story (and no, that’s not her name), I have succeeded in making her more dimensional and complex.
I loved reading this story about how you turned an experience into an opportunity to be more gracious. And isn’t it wonderful that writing is the way you can do this. It’s a beautiful gift to write about life in a way that can bring joy and a little more love into the world.
